Here is a challenge for Andy Burnham, the shadow minister for health.
Resign your current parliamentary seat and, at the next election, stand as the Labour party candidate in a constituency within the Mid Staffs Health Authority catchment area.
Don't bother with all the twaddle about representing 'your' people from Liverpool. Have the courage to face the families of those 1,300 people that died, many in great and unnecessary distress, while you presided over the 'blessed' NHS.
You have prattled on about Hillsborough, where 97 Liverpool football fans died and yet are silent about Mid Staffs where so many more died. Maybe if they had been your constituents you might have cared more. You certainly emote about the 97, how about the 1,300?
